What is APR? APR stands for Accumulair Performance Rating. This rating has been established by the manufacturer of the Accumulair Filters. This rating exists to demonstrate the different levels of efficiency throughout the Accumulair filter line. Generally speaking, the higher the APR, the better the filter performs in capturing small airborne particles. This rating system is an internal rating system and applies to Accumulair filters only.

Merv 11 furnace filters and air conditioner filters are extended surface pleated panel filters designed for use in all types of residential, commercial, and industrial air filtration systems. Multi-Pleat filters, because of their high quality filter media and extended surface construction, offer significantly higher efficiency and longer service life than fiberglass disposable filters. These filters are available in a wide range of standard and custom sizes.
The media is made of continuous polyolefin fibers, which are thermally bonded together. This fiber structure has increasing fiber density from the upstream to the downstream side. This media construction, coupled with a proprietary electrostatic treating technology, allows filters made with Intrepid Media to achieve high initial and sustainable filtration efficiencies.

The furnace filters and air conditioner filters have a high dirt holding capacity for long life. The media used in the Merv 11 furnace filters and air conditioner filters is thermally bonded using no chemical binders and the continuous fibers prevent shedding. They have excellent bi-directional strength. The Merv 11 furnace filters and air conditioner filters use fibers that are electrostatically treated. The Merv 11 furnace filters and air conditioner filters use no fiberglass in the construction. The fibers will not absorb moisture that would support microbial growth.

Have been ordering from this company for years. Their quality filters really have extended the life of my air conditioner and helped it perform much better.

Performs best when replaced every 3 months. Filter seems to collect a good amount residue and that is what it was designed to do.
